We're pleased to announce that the band have engaged the services of MD Ian Knapton to lead us through a very busy festive period.

Ian is well known to Kippax having helped us out on Trombone at the Mineworker's Championships a couple of years ago, and is straight into the thick of it with a hectic Christmas schedule.
Welcome Ian!

2014 marked the the bi-centenary of Kippax Band with a series of special events and concerts taking place throughout the year to mark this historic occasion. The Band was also delighted to announce a 5 year sponsorship association with Kippax Parish Council which commenced in December 2013.

Kippax Band has always been closely connected to the local community who have, over the years, provided many players past and present. The band also provides its services to the community through parades, Church services and Council organised events.

Kippax Band is also delighted to own its own Social Club, which is based on the same site as the bandroom. The club caters for different social events including line dancing, and is a venue for parties, weddings, and christenings. On the second Sunday of each month either the Kippax Band or a guest band performs in the Club to capacity audiences.
